Being read to helps children become familiar with sounds and words and develop language. Books can spark a child\u2019s imagination, expand their understanding of the world, stimulate curiosity, and help brain development. Even after children learn to read by themselves, it is still important for stories to be read aloud to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> On the 26th of September 2022, the Junior College (JC) students spent their day with the Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2 students with the hopes of helping foster a lifelong love of reading through Storytelling. JC students had the exciting opportunity to participate in a special \u2018Storytelling Day\u2019 with K1 and K2 students. Apart from storytelling, they also sang songs and did Arts and Crafts together. Both Preschool and JC students enjoyed this experience and benefited greatly from it. Reading Programmes promote a higher interest and engagement in reading and improvement in social and communication skills, particularly for students learning English as a second language.
